Moving to glasgow

I plan to Inshallah move to Glasgow. Please suggest any good family resedential areas within easy reach to Masjid and in vicinity of good schools.

Areas such as Pollokshields, Govanhill, Charing Cross, woodlands have a lot of Asians/ Muslims living there.  Schools and Masjids are nearby as are halal meat shops, Asian grocery stores and clothe shops.  They are however not the best of areas in terms of cleanliness, integration and have poor quality housing with high unemployment and deprivation.
Areas such as Shawlands, Newlands, Giffnock, Newton Mearns are nicer.
Glasgow Central Mosque is probably half an hour away from these areas by car.  The schools are better too.

Maybe because there are alot more governmental services provided to these 'non-asian' areas. The same would be in the case of predominantly white areas like castlemilk, toryglen etc. I know for e.g it was government/east renfrewshire initiative to put flower baskets all around Giffnock as well as paint speed limits in the residential streets. The community in the areas of pollokshields etc have to be more proactive in being involved with their MPs/Councillors to demand better services. If you stay in the areas above- will you do it ? :D
