Amina – the Muslim Women’s Resource Centre (MWRC) was founded in 1997 . It is a community initiative developed by women from the Muslim community in Scotland as a response to mainstream services not reaching, or not adequately meeting the needs of, many Muslim women, who are one of the most disadvantaged groups in society.

Amina MWRC operates in three ways:
