Hallucinations of spiritual presence

I have an elder sister aged 30 who was diagonsed with bowel cancer 2 years ago and was cleared 2 months ago.

Just recently she was admitted to the hospital and was told that they needed to operate asap.  MASHALLAH the operation went well and she is in her recovery period.

Due to the pain she has been given alot of morphine and is experiencing hallucinations.  She is constantly telling family that there is someone sitting beside her, who isn't really there. What makes it worse is that she keeps saying that someone is trying to cover her face with a white sheet and she keeps knocking it away with her hands.

If anyone knows the meaning or  theories to this please reply.

Yes I from experiance can confirm that contious doses of IV morphine does allow for hallucinations to occur and the effects do calm down when the weaning process starts please do not worry these are side affects to morphine and nothing else . Must remember this is a very strong grug similar to class a drugs but used under strict guidelines very effective in relieving tremendous pain I hope inshallah I have put some light on this nothing to do with spiratual prescence ( NOT AT ALL )
walikum asaalaam your sister in Islam
