Salaam brothers and sisters
I am have been offered a job in Scotland in a location of my choice, but i am unsure which location to take the job in, I am looking for an area whihc is close to the masjid and halal stores. I, myself am from Coventry, and some areas in Coventry can be a bit of a trek from a masjid or halal stores (plus some areas are unfortunately no-go areas for Muslims)
Stirling, Ayr, Braehead, East Kilbride,Cumbernauld, Livingston

That's right - those others
That's right - those others are small towns. Most Muslims are in the south side of Glasgow, e.g. Pollokshields, which means the Masajid, shops, etc are there.
AA, there is a mosque near
AA, there is a mosque near Braehead. It is in Renfrew. If you have a car it is only a 5 min drive (at most).

The mosque in renfrew is on Paisley road, unfortunately it is a shop that has been converted to a prayer room. Due to this the size of the mosque there is no facility for women. :(.
Braehead is close to the motorway and the local bus service has a very regular service to glasgow (15 min by car, 30 mins by bus) where are many Mosques and Halal shops.
Renfrew which is the local area to Braehead has many muslims living there.

there is a mosque in Rutherglen - about 5 miles from east kilbride. number of mulsims now living in this area, East Kilbride, Cambuslang, Rutherglen.
there is also a big mosque being built in cumbernauld - impressive. It not finished yet - but inshallah in a year or 2 should be.

Cumbernauld isn't in Glasgow ... mind you neither is Renfrew (I think) and we've listed that!
Asalam Firstly none of the

Firstly none of the areas are 'in' glasgow.
Stirling: about 45 out of glasgow, Not much muslims community present there it is like a quite are.
Ayr: It is about 1 hour up north to glasgow, a small town near the beach, sea, I wont say 1% muslim community present there, no shopping outlets new there and no masjids unfortunately.
Braehead: this is close to Glasgow easy to asses glasgow- near the Airport, however, transport is availble near the shopping centre and Masjid and halal outlets are available within Glasgow southside which is 10mins drive.
East Kilbride: Once again similar distance as Braehead, however a little complex, and once again hardly any muslim community present there. And Minhaj Ul Quran is near this area. Please do remember this area does not have a vast manority of asians.
Cumbernauld: Outside of glasgow and not many registered Halal outlets available there, and as someone mentioned a Masjid is being build. Otherthan that I do not know any place near by.
Livingston: This is out of glasgow around 30mins drive. adn It has a Asian muslim familys in certain areas of livingston, it is a quite town which a big shopping designer outlet. I am sure there is a Masjid there and Halal places to eat.
Please bare in mind due to traffic access to places may take longer and if your looking for a area near muclim community and halal ouitlets and asian shops and food places. And if u can drive your best bet would be Breahead, and fidn a place in the southside of Glasgow as it would be a 15- 20min drive to braehead and its easy accessable.
