Arabic Calligraphy workshop with Jawdat Kadhim

Jawdat Kadhim Kaiby spent 13 years as an Arabic calligraphy teacher in Iraq, at the Basra Fine Art Institute and was the head of this department for four years. He participated in all major Arabic calligraphy events in his local city between 1988 and 2007 including several national events held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. He was also the head of the Basra Arabic calligraphy society for three years.

A renowned calligrapher he has participated in many international Arabic calligraphy events held in Baghdad, Turkey, Kuwait, Jordan and Dubai between 1996 and 2009. Last year he held Arabic calligraphy workshops at Glasgow University’s The Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery and at the prestigious Burrell collection Museum.
