About the course

The SIF weekend programme has the following aims:

1. To train participants to better explain Islam and respond to questions being raised in the media and society
2. To build their confidence in speaking and representing themselves and their communities
3. To develop an agenda for longer-term projects to increase awareness and understanding of Islam and Muslims

About the speaker

Fadel Soliman is one of the world’s leading experts on presenting
Islam and is director of the Bridges Foundation
(www.bridges-foundation.org), an organisation overseen by leading
personalities including Dr. Jamal Badawi and Dr. Zaghloul Elnaggar.
Among the Foundation’s recent achievements is their documentary
entitled “The Fog is Lifting”, featuring Fadel Soliman, Imam Suhaib
Webb and others. Fadel was the Muslim Chaplain at the American
University in Washington from 2001-2005. He has introduced the
teachings of Islam to over 65,000 people in numerous countries, and
trained 6000 Muslims in 16 countries to present the faith, answer
questions and address misconceptions.
