The Awards are set to take place on 30th October 2008 with Guest of Honour, First Minister, Alex Salmond, at Parkhead Football Stadium, Glasgow and will be hosted by a leading Scottish personality.

With a sumptuous three-course meal and an evening of entertainment, the YSM Awards will be a celebration of the contribution and value that Young Scottish Muslims make to the fabric of Scottish society at every level. We believe that by holding these Awards, a strong message will be delivered that Scottish Muslim Youth are respected and included in the future of Scotland, home to 60,000 Muslims. We are proud to be leading the Muslim community in encouraging positive contribution, hard work, community efforts and business acumen amongst the youth.

The expected audience of 500 will include leading members of the Muslim community, Government Departments, Local Councils, Service Providers, Community Groups, Youth Organisations, Businesses and Minority Ethnic organisations from across Scotland.
