Expressing the views of Muslim Parents in Scotland.

The purpose of SMPA shall be to provide better understanding to parents of the policies of Scottish Government's Departments including education and training, health and community care.

Scottish Muslim Parents Association (SMPA) invites parents and children to the Glasgow Science Centre on Sunday 10th May 2009 11.00am-6.00pm at a reduced rate of £3.00 per person to attend a free talk on 'The Curriculum for Excellence - how it affects your child and their education'.

Guest speaker will be Lorraine Sanda - Parental Involvement Coordinator from Learning and Teaching Scotland (LTS).

Talk begins at 2.30pm-3.15pm. A panel will be available for the Question and Answer session 3.15pm-4.00pm.

An excellent opportunity for parents to know more about educating their children in Scotland.

Whats happenning on 10th May 2009 at the Science Centre

1) SMPA is also conducting a workshop at the Science Centre between 11am - 1pm and 4pm-6pm for parents to WALK-IN and gather more information on education scotland and any guidance they may need with regards to issues in schools.

2) There is also a very important talk at 230pm at the Science Show Theatre by Guest Speaker Lorraine Sanda on "the changes in the new curriculum and the roles and rights of parent"

3) And plus 3 floors of Science to explore at the Centre.

Entry fee to the Science Mall only on that day for parents is just £3!!
