Speakers:

- Luqyan Tamanni is a PhD candidate at the University of Glasgow with a research in Islamic micro finance. He has been an expert in the Islamic Finance, sharia compliant regulatory analysis and Islamic business strategy fields for many years. He studied undergraduate study in economics at the International Islamic University Malaysia and postgraduate study also in economics at the University of Malaya, both in Kuala Lumpur. In 2013, he published Sakinah Finance, a bestselling book about Islamic Financial Management with his wife, Murniati Mukhlisin.

- Murniati Mukhlisin is a PhD candidate at the University of Glasgow currently researching on Islamic Accounting. She has received a Bachelor of Accounting title from the International Islamic University Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur as well as a Master of Accounting from University of Indonesia, Jakarta. She often appears as speaker in numerous international Islamic Finance seminars.

- Omar Shaikh is a Chartered Accountant who specializes in Islamic finance and private equity. He leads the Islamic Finance Council's activities in government policy advisory. He has spoken at various global conferences and universities, and is involved in development initiatives relating to sharia governance and Islamic microfinance. Omar’s background includes working with Ernst & Young where he was recognized as the UK firms Subject Matter Expert for Islamic finance.

- Mohd Hairul Azrin is currently pursuing his PhD in Accounting and Finance at the University of Glasgow. He is a faculty member in the School of Business and Economics, Universiti Brunei Darussalam prior which he had been part of the Brunei Islamic Banking Industry. He started his career with The Islamic Bank of Brunei Berhad attached in its Internal Audit Department. In 2008, he is entrusted as the Head of Sharia Division, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad ensuring Sharia compliance while at the same time providing room for innovation in product offering. Azrin graduated with a first class honors in Bachelor of Accounting program and holds an MBA specializing in Islamic Banking and Finance from The International Islamic University Malaysia.

- Norasikin Hj Salikin is currently a Corporate Finance PhD candidate in the University of Strathclyde She was graduated from Universiti Utara Malaysia for Accountancy and Universiti Putra Malaysia for Finance. She has a long experience in financial teachings, while uniquely combined finance and Islam in many of her publications and books.
