What is the African/Muslim Population like in Glasgow?

I'm coming to study in Glasgow in Septemeber Insha Allah. I found a section entitled African that was empty, so to start the topics rolling,  I thought I'd find out what the size of the African/Muslim Community is in Glasgow, being half Ugandan myself. If there are any groups, societies or clubs especially for sisters let me know :-) Jazak Allah

There is a Somali

There is a Somali organisation.  Not sure what they are called.  Try googling them.

The general Muslim community

The general Muslim community is counted in the tens of thousands. There are around 15 Mosques in the city. For sisters, try:

I know a couple of Somali

I know a couple of Somali brothers. African community is quite large and is growing.

 

There is even a Khathouse, if you know what I mean. A problem I am planning on dealing with alongside my brethren.

i heard the muslim population is a large and growing one in glasgow. im planning inshallah to study their next year and have done some random researche and realised that its actually got quite a population up their.

Thanks for your researching I want to join the african society at uni as well, but from my "research" they don't seem to be up to much anyway.

 

anyway - in one month I will find out! Insha Allah - and maybe I'll bump into anonymous without knowing lol
