Salaamu Alaikum Sisters

Are you concerned about the events which are taking place across the Muslim world?

Do we as Muslims living in the west have a role to play in supporting this struggle?

If so, how can and should we do this?

Thinking Sisters are a group of sisters who meet on a fortnightly basis to discuss and clarify issues which affect Muslims both here in the UK and across the globe focussing on where Islam and Muslims are now and where they should be.

ARE YOU A THINKING WOMAN?

Do you worry about the problems we face as individuals, society and as an ummah?  Do you want to help in a way which is not just superficial but leads to postiive and permanent change for all Muslims everywhere in accordance with the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (saw)?

We are a group of sisters who will be meeting regularly to discuss the issues which affect us and our Ummah and what we can do to make that change.

3rd March - Anniversary of the Destruction of the Last Khilafah (Caliphate)

Assalamu alaikum,

Today is a dark anniversary for Muslims. Not a day to remember, but one to forget. It is the day that the colonialists destroyed the Mother of all Faraid (the Khilafah).

Hizb.org.uk will serialise a set of three presentations to commemorate this day and establish what options are available to us today.

Lobbying the media - letter writing

Salaam.

 At Glasgow Central moqsue, we have recently just set up a working group to respond to media bias / propaganda against islam/muslims etc. We may decide to focus on UK (print) media generally but our spcific aim is to deal/respond to Scottish-based newspapers.

 Initial (brainstorming) session was held on: Mon. 16-Feb.   Second (action) metting was held on: Mon. 23-Feb.
