Quran or Islamic classes for women?

Assalamalaikum,

Does anyone know of any classes for women to learn about the Quran - its understanding and meaning. Or any classes about Islam in general? I really would llove to go along and learn more about the Holy Quran and how Muslim women should behave, their rights, etc.

I am hoping to learn arabic language at beginner level and was wondering if anyone knows of any Arabic classes for

women in Glasgow? Also are there any classes that provide creche facility for children?

any information would be appreciated.

Read the stories in the Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday regarding Nazia Iqbal getting her application to join Central Mosque's committee refused.
She and her friends have apparently organised a campaign for women's votes in our mosques.
Does anyone know how I can find out more about this campaign or get in touch with Nazia?
