Leaving aside the supermarket chains, who often seem to worship money only, the Friends of Al Aqsa Glasgow brothers have done a sterling job on reminding shopkeepers not to stock dates grown on land stolen from Palestinians. Pollokshields, Govanhill and Woodlands have been covered. No shopkeeper overtly resisted the message, and most were in fact fully supportive. Any shopkeeper stocking them is likely to find a picket forming outside his/her shop.

Israeli Dates - The Scandal Continues

Those of you who have been following my blog will know that I have recently exposed two so-called "halal" supermarkets in Bradistan for selling Israeli dates. My reports have now been picked up by local activists from "United 4 Palestine" and they have reported that they will be visiting these shops to press them to remove these products from sale.

Yesterday I visited a number of local "halal" supermarkets and was shocked to find so many Israeli dates on sale.
