Support Aamer in court - Tuesday 29 & Wednesday 30 April - THIS WEEK!
The case against Aamer Anwar will be heard in the High Court in Edinburgh on Tuesday and Wednesday (of this week).
Please come along and show your much needed and appreciated support.
There will be a demo / protest outside the High Court, Lawnmarket (Royal Mile) from 9.30am on Tuesday. It's important that we have a good turnout at the start of the day, but please come along at any time on Tuesday and Wednesday, even if you can only spare half an hour or so. Unfortunately, we don't yet know when the verdict will be announced.
The
court hearing is open to the public and it would be great if some of
Aamer's supporters could attend the hearing as well as showing their
support outside the court. If you attend the hearing, please be respectful and courteous towards the court.
If you have time before going along to the court, please have a look at the SACC website to
remind yourself about the background to the case - the media will be
present and may wish to interview Aamer's supporters / 'Defend Aamer
Anwar' campaigners.
