Football Equity Manager
Fixed term for 3 years subject to funding
Salary £25,000 plus attractive benefits package
The Scottish F.A. is seeking to recruit a Football Equity Manager responsible for the management of the Scottish F.A.’s Equity Work Programme for football.
Funding acquired from the Scottish Government’s Cashback for Communities Programme has been identified to improve opportunities and links between groups from Black and Ethnic (BEM) communities and the wider footballing community.
We are committed to fulfilling the aims and objectives within our national strategy, ‘Scotland United : A 2020 Vision’. Strong, quality growth in the grassroots game is a key target. More players, clubs, coaches and volunteers operating within the player pathway is a fundamental part of the National Plan for football, and we require a manager to oversee the delivery of the programme via a network of 5 Football Equity Officers(FEOs).
Based at Hampden Park, reporting to the Football Development Manager, the Football Equity Manager will be responsible for delivering the Equity Work Programme in partnership with BEMIS (Black and Ethnic Minorities Infrastructure in Scotland), the umbrella organisation that supports the development of the black and ethnic minority voluntary sector in Scotland.
In addition, you will be responsible for creating a close working environment between BEMIS and the Scottish F.A. ensuring that football provision is developed, recognised and delivered within BEM communities. Working closely with BEMIS and other key partners you will ensure that all programmes are delivered to support the strategy, in line with best practice.
If you wish to apply please click go to www.scottishfa.co.uk and click on vacancies. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 27th January. Interviews will take place week commencing 6th February, if you have not been asked for interview by Thursday 2nd February then please assume that your application will not be taken any further.
