This event has been organised in response to demand due to the current crisis in Gaza.

Many people wish to engage more with the media, and build links with their members of Parliament.

The workshop aims to build the skills and confidence of participants in letter writing, as well as other key methods of activism.

If you're able to bring a laptop, you'll be able to type things up at the event you can later send off to the appropriate places!

TRAINERS

Muhammad Idrees Ahmad - a member of Spinwatch; His writings on subjects ranging from propaganda, Israel-Palestine conflict, Iraq war to globalization have appeared in Counterpunch, Dissident Voice, Atlantic Free Press, Electronic Intifada , Electronic Iraq and various print publications. For his PhD, Idrees is researching the role of lobbies, think tanks and foundations in furnishing the propaganda for the war in Iraq.

Humza Yousaf - public affairs director of the Scottish-Islamic Foundation, advisor and press officer in the Scottish Parliament

Osama Saeed - chief executive of the Scottish-Islamic Foundation, has appeared on BBC, SKY, CNN, Al-Jazeera and many others over the years, and has written extensively including articles in the Guardian, Scotsman and Sunday Herald.
